For a photographer, it doesn’t get much better! I live in Calgary, Alberta on the eastern side of the beautiful Canadian Rockies. Mountains, foothills, gorgeous Chinook clouds, rolling prairie, it’s all at my fingertips!
I grew up on the prairie in Southern Manitoba in the small town of Landmark. Landmark is the most centrally located town in Canada and I’m proud to say my grandpa named it!
I’m also proud to say I’m a dad to four boys – Jordan, Nelson, Aemon, and Nicholas – and my wife, Dawn, and I spend much of our time running after them! In 1993 I began working in the golf industry as a Golf Professional and I remain a class A member of the Canadian PGA. I’m affiliated with the McKenzie Meadows GC and I still teach part-time at this excellent public facility.
However, the majority of my time is now spent photographing the stunning golf courses and landscapes in North America and abroad. I also write about golf (and many other cool things!) and particularly enjoy assignments where I can combine both skills.
Over the past ten years, or so, I have freelanced (writing and photography) for numerous golf and lifestyle publications. Some of them include:
- GOLF Magazine
- Golf Canada
- SCOREGolf Magazine
- The Calgary Herald
- Western Living
- Going Places
- Travel Golf.com …and many more.
I also write and take on photography assignments for various tourism regions, resorts, and golf courses.
Finally, I spend much of my time shooting stock photography. In the past seven years, or so, I have sold more than 140,000 images through iStockphoto.com. My stock portfolio is available at www.istockphoto.com/imaginegolf
